By Air

You should fly into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It looks like round trip tickets from SFO to AMS are running at about $1,000 at the moment if you are flying around our wedding date. Some airline webpages for you to check periodically:

Time Difference
The time difference between the West coast and the Netherlands is 9 hours. The time difference from the East coast and the Netherlands is 6 hours.

The Netherlands is ahead on time, so for example: if it is 9PM in the Netherlands it is noon time in SF and 3PM in Washington DC. We highly recommend you arrive at least 3 days before the wedding to get used to the new time zone. Here is a site with some advice about how to handle jet lag.

By Public Transport

Travel time from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to our wedding location is approximately 2 hours by train. Your final destination for the wedding is station Ruurlo. We have a very reliable train network, about which you can find more information on The Dutch National Railway website.

For more information about other forms of public transport like subway and buses, you can visit this website.

If you are visiting the Netherlands from abroad and you would like to also do some sightseeing, we recommend that you use our public transportation system and do not rent a car.

Cars are very expensive in the Netherlands as gas prices and parking rates are high and, more importantly, most sites you might like to visit are almost impossible to reach by car.
